Visiting Tuscany | Birra Moretti

TUSCANY’S MOST AUTHENTIC LOCATIONS TO VISIT

In Italy, we appreciate the simple things in life. The region of Tuscany especially enjoys a slower and more relaxed pace of life, where time spent doing what you love is more valuable than material things. Tuscan craftsmen passionately take their time to perfect the things that make life beautiful, just as we do in crafting Birra Moretti.

We’re excited to let you in on a few of the region’s most authentic locations to visit with family and friends – giving you time and space to savour life’s simple pleasures with the ones you love.

The Maremma

What better place to start than The Maremma in south-west Tuscany with its vast stretches of countryside, long beaches, blue sea, and idyllic towns.

You can’t beat Mount Argentario for breath-taking views out onto the Thyrrenian sea, while Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia and Alberese are amongst the most stunning beaches in Tuscany. The WWF Reserve in the Orbetello lagoon is one of the finest birdwatching spots in Tuscany and hiking in the Uccellina Nature Reserve allows you to take in the region’s diverse Mediterranean landscape in all its glory.

Be sure to visit Pitigliano to experience the magical sight of the ‘Tufta Towns’, sister town Sorano and the incredibly pretty town of Sovana.

Val d’Orcia

The breath-taking Val d'Orcia valley in southern Tuscany features rolling green and yellow-hued hills dotted with rolls of haystacks, alongside mesmerising stretches of golden wheat fields. These spectacular views inspired Renaissance painters and have become synonymous with Tuscany.

Combine this magic with the area’s medieval castles, hilltop towns, charming rural farmhouses and rows of cypress trees and you’ll soon understand why it’s one of the most stunning locations to visit in Italy. Best of all, time passes slowly here - making it perfect for conversations with friends while slowly sipping your favourite chilled BIRRA MORETTI.

Chianti and Siena

The mountainous Chianti region offers a unique landscape with green, gentle hills covered with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves and small stone villages – perfect for much-needed reconnection time with your travel companions. The landscapes are so beautiful, they feature on postcards and calendars across the globe.

The Chianti region extends to Siena, recognised as one of Italy’s most beautiful cities and our country’s medieval heart. The historic centre of Siena has been declared as a World Heritage Site, while the combined area of Florence and Siena is renowned for its high-quality handcrafted Tuscan terracotta garden pottery.

Siena is known for its fine central piazza, cascading narrow lanes, monuments, palaces and churches. Make your way to Piazza del Campo, one of Europe’s greatest medieval squares where you can enjoy a long lunch with your friends in one of the several bars or cafes.
